Here I sit, my mind an empty space,
Reflecting my life since December full of grace,
Life could not be better,
Yet it takes effort to make it greater,
Thus I would just share,
The past quarter in things I do & do not care...
My wife, my friends, my colleagues I respect,
There are a few who I'd love to defect,
Mature I had grown over the past 2 years,
Focusing more on simpler things and my peers,
Screw those matters I used to consider a pest,
As now I live a life of more relief than that pest,
Pest I have used the word twice,
I'll just concentrate on my own rice...
Bloody drunk it was this Chinese New Year,
But sober it is first thing next morning with no fears,
Won a lot, lost a little,
Life is definitely not a gamble,
We gathered before hometown beckoned,
Tossing the 'Yee-Sang' in highest fashion,
You guys make work worth living,
Seeing our talent in organising and singing!
When March arrived the weather did so in mixes,
One day it'll be as hot as the Sahara,
And the next would be as stormy as Niagra,
WTF kind of weather are we having,
When we can't even enjoy the sun and sing...
Thus we enter the 4th Quarter,
I had just bought my dream Camera,
The Nikon D300 with 18-200mm lens,
This solid bugger has millions of fans,
Once more I say,
It was a damn tiring quarter till this day,
But I am forever more convicted,
To take back what I deserve,
By means of not only to persevere,
But to also hand out what I deem as severe,
Watch me go... !!!

Photography...I finally step into this realm...
"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". In terms of skills in getting the right colour, composition and focus, the reamining things that make a photo look great is "What the Photographer wants to shoot".
Imagine, even a simple shot of a garden can create an imaginary story way beyond one's imagination.
To be able to take photographs, one will be entering a new world of creativity, imagination, passion and poetry as we begin discovering the beauty of the world of Photography...
Having a dad and his 2 younger brothers who were into Photography since their young days, I never thought I, myself would end up in the same hobby. Even a couple of years ago, I never had even a slightest of interests in it. I guess it does run in the family!!!
Then I bought my first ever Camera, a Canon Powershot G9, which was a Prosumer level camera. It could fulfill the basic Point-and-Shoot functions as well as giving us some controls over a limited number of Manual Controls such as the ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperteur Levels. Other than that, it had a relatively good lense and the pictures produced were much better if we compared it to the Canon IXUS cameras. Images were sharper, better colour etc. Perhaps one of the G9's best features was its Macro shots! For a Camera in that level, they shoot Great Macro shots!!!
Then as I improved my composition, and begin to want to take certain pictures in certain angles etc, I realised things were limited on my G9. So I began researching online to find a Camera within a affordable budget which can last me many years and have functions that can really elaborate the Creativity, Imagination, Passion and Poetry in me!
After much online research, and asking friends, I have decided to get the Nikon D300 camera with a Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens to start off with! This is a real one heck of a camera! Fantastic Ergonomics, Excellent Picture Quality and the list goes on.
Last week during my high school friend's Wedding, his Photographer was using a Nikon D300 and I asked him about it. I told him I am going to buy one and currently own a G9. He immediately asked if I would like to sell my G9, b
ut I said no, cause I would like to bring it along for easy shots / Macro close ups on the run which is easier. So I guess I will be carrying 2 cameras with me, especially when I travel.
Doesn't it just look beautiful?
Hahaha!!!
True enough, it is the Photographer who will determine if the picture is good, but with a good gear, more options will then be available...
Can't wait to get my hands on it and begin shooting!!!

Valentines Day 2009
5.00am! The alarm rang at my hotel room as I woke up, took my bath, packed and left the hotel in Penang for the Airport for my check in at 6am! Earliest flight for Firefly is 7am and may I say what a comfortable experience it was for my first Firefly experience.
Valentines comes yearly and this year I admit I had plagiarised my cousin's idea because it was a GOOD idea indeed! I booked the GSC Signature Valentines Package which included a 5-course dinner at one of the Restaurants at GSC @ The Gardens, a gift pack, a free picture and Gold Class tickets to a special premier of "Marley and Me".
Let me comment on the food first. It was ok. Perhaps not what I should expect seeing its a dinner at a cinema.
The gift pack was quite cool, some perfume sample and ONE free pass to a Premier movie. I won't be going alone, so paying for another ticket is alright.
Flowers! I'm surprised they didn't give any! At least one stock is better than nothin. Thankfully, I always trust my florist more than other 'possibilities'. So I had my florist bring in the bouquet into Mid Valley and surprise her! After every year, it gets HARDER to surprise your girl i tell you!!!
Apart from the package, it seemed like many of my friends chose Mid Valley/Gardens as their Valentine place this year, as I met up with quite many: David & Jin, Kenneth & Winnie, Eysa Zulkili! I haven't seen this guy in 10 years since we left school! And I met the famous fren of mine now who proposed in a hot air balloon, Mr Nigel Pong and his lovely fiance, who also took the same package at GSC Signature. What an evenin!
e
And finally, the best part was the Movie! Marley and Me is based on a true story and a Novel even came out. If you are a dog lover, or a Human, you would LOVE this movie! It tells the story of the world's worst dog! a Labrador Retriever whom a family had adopted since he was a puppy right until the saddest part of the movie. You go see it yourself. Prepare lotsa tissue. I admit!!! I Cried!!!
Hahaha! Anyway, a tiring but nice end to Valentines 2009.
Now, what the heck am I gonna do for Valentines 2010????
Damn...
