The word Revenge in a movie title often brings about a darker side of a movie genre and/or story. The most recent one in the previous few years was Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. As a fan of Star Wars, I was blown away by the enhanced Digital effects and especially the final Lightsaber Duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan! And of course, the transformation to Darth Vader, which is what everybody had looked forward too since the announcement of Episode I. Now, we have a sequel to every adult of this generation's childhood dreams, to have a live movie version of Transformers! 2 years ago, Michael bay created this miracle. I mean, when I saw the Peterbilt Truck drive up towards Sam & Mikaela, and as it transformed into Optimus Prime, I shed a tear...That was the intro of the movie, a whole new standard created, especially in the Action movie arena!
Then 2 years later, present day to be exact, we now have the sequel to that childhood dream, with expextations of even more Robots to be added into the movie.
Michael bay was tight-lipped about the actual premise of the movie, as he released little informations bit by bit, giving us all fans an even higher degree of Eagerness and "I-Can't-Wait-To-See-It-Kill-Me-Man!"
The title:
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

The trailer itself was mind boggling! It was quite brilliant of Michael to bring alive the Character of The Fallen. In the original storyline, The Fallen never appeared in any of the animated Transformer cartoons. The only time it appeared was in one of the Comic Books, and ONE toy (if i''m not mistakened) was only produced back then. The original version states The Fallen was one of the Original Transformers, much like the Transformer Gods. Anyway, in this story, it is slightly different, but cool nontheless!
Apart from Optimus, everyone's Favourite, we have more Autobots, which include the Twins, which were quite humerous!
Megatron came back (how can we have a Transformers movie without him & Starscream right?)
He was altered slightly. Compared to the cartoons, it is a more realistic approach on how they brought him back to life. They dismantled one of their Decepticon robots and used his parts to restore Megatron, who now transforms into 2 vehicles! hahaha!
Soundwave seemed like the most dissapointing one. The bugger just kept floating in space from start till end.
And the one many of us looked forward to was the Combinator known as Devastator! 5 vehicles combined into 1 gigantic metal beast (there's a damn funny scene here)

It was made to move like a Gorilla. This toy version will be the most expensive one, rumours it'll cost around RM400+.
And the rest of the Transformers just adds the excitement to it all!
Of course Jetfire was cool! And if there wasn't enough "Cantum-cantum" into Devastator, there was another Cantum between Prime and Jetfire, which was so damn cool!
Certain critics claimed that the movie was just too much action, and it was too long (2 hours plus). However, that certain critics were a very tiny itsy-bitsy percent. In my opinion, the time in between all the actions include comedy, and of course linkages in the story. We can't just have fights non-stop! The comedy was Great! It just fitted in perfectly!
This will be the first movie since Star Wars Episode II & III where I will go see a couple more times at the cinema!
More so, with THX surround, why not! It is full of action after all, and the sounds of their transformation is music to my ears!
Definitely THE movie of the Summer, and for many Summers to come, till Transformers 3 comes out. Rumours are in year 2012, 3 years from now...
